Moving Tips

Moving can be complicated. We keep it simple.

Here are some tips we put together for you to make things even more simple!

BOX ORGANIZATION

Use sturdy boxes to securely hold your belongings. Put heavier items at the bottom of your box, and lighter items at the top.

Don't leave spaces in the boxes. Fill the boxes up as much as possible. Use clothing, towels, or packing paper to fill up the spaces more.

Be sure to label each box with the room they should go in as well as a summary of what is inside the box to make unpacking a breeze.

SAY GOODBYE TO UNUSED STUFF

Try to cut back on clutter as much as possible. Purge unnecessary items that you can let go of so you will have less to pack, which is less to move and unpack.

You will be able to have a fresh start in your new space with the least amount of excess items.

KEEP ESSENTIALS WITH YOU

Keep essentials with you in the event you don't unpack immediately. Moves can be tiring so we recommend keeping your necessities close by in order to simplify your first night at the new space.

Keep a change of clothes, a toothbrush, any must-have stuffed animals or toys for the kids, medications, paperwork, etc.

NOTIFY PROPER CONTACTS

Create a list of people you need to notify when you move.

Determine when and how you will accomplish these tasks in your checklist.
